Distribution Assistant

About the role

SUNY Upstate Medical University’s mission is to improve the health of the communities we serve through education, biomedical research, and health care. As the largest employer and care provider in the area, we handle a significant amount of medical supplies, build specialty carts, and more in support of patient care. This Distribution Assistant role is vital to ensuring everyone receives the best care possible.

Responsibilities

• Report daily to Distribution and unpack supplies and stock shelves
• Follow the “recipe” and build/restock specialty carts like code, difficult airway, and more
• Restock patient in-room supply carts
• Provide outstanding customer service and fill customer call-down supply requests and inpatient room carts
• Deliver medical supplies to Nursing Units
• Support Clinical operations to enhance patient care
