About the role

As a Biologics Account Manager, you will exceed your sales quota and grow the Sports Medicine Biologics business within your territory. You will serve as a product consultant specializing in the Sports Medicine Biologics portfolio, focusing on both Biologics and Sports Medicine soft tissue injury repair.

Responsibilities

  • Convert physicians and accounts through sales calls and clinical case coverage in the operating room.
  • Train surgeons on Smith+Nephew products via education programs within your territory.
  • Collaborate with key orthopedic surgeons, hospital and OR staff, administrators, and clinicians.
  • Work cross-divisionally to increase awareness and adoption of the Sports Medicine Biologics portfolio.
  • Develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet or exceed sales quota.
  • Provide first-class technical support to ensure product availability meets customer and patient needs.
  • Partner with Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts to discover sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 years of direct sales experience, with at least 4 years in a medical or hospital environment preferred.
  • Experience selling technology and/or capital products to multiple call points within a hospital, including surgeons, nursing, administration, facilities, biomedical, and information systems.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving quota year over year.
  • Proven success in complex sales environments, selling to teams of buyers and multiple decision-makers in a hospital or medical setting.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to driving business forward through strategic responsibility for your territory.
  • Results-driven with a passion for forming relationships to increase sales revenue and impact patient outcomes.
  • Resourceful and proficient in Sports Medicine surgical procedures.
  • Collaborative and dedicated to partnering with regional counterparts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

All field sales professionals required to gain entry into healthcare facilities must successfully complete the credentialing process and comply with facility requirements, including adherence to any established vaccine protocols.

Travel Requirements

Travel within designated sales territory with 1-3 overnights per week, depending on geography. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
