Billing Specialist

Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely and accurate billing in compliance with funder requirements.
- Work with members of the finance team and provide analysis and reporting as needed to managers and senior leadership.
- Understand fiscal reporting procedures and requirements of public/private contracts as outlined by funding agencies to ensure grant compliance.
- Develop and implement dashboards and trackers to monitor billing progress by funder/contract/site.
- Utilize financial systems to extract data to align billing with general ledger.
- Develop a working knowledge of fiscal policies of contracting agencies, so as to ensure accuracy in expenses being billed and translate to correct line items on required reporting documents to funding sources.
- Aid Manager of Contract Budget Reporting in preparation and review of financial reports (PERS) for funding agencies.
Education Requirement(s)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or Public Administration.
Experience Requirement(s)
- 2+ years related experience for a non-profit organization.
- Experience working with cross-functional and inter-department teams.

- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and quality in all tasks performed.
- Proficient in using productivity tools and software, such as MS Office Suite, Google Docs, Salesforce, and contract management platforms.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve.
- Ability to collaborate with others within a team environment.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Work is performed mostly within an office setting but may be required to interact with the community at-large during events, outreach, and meetings.
- May be required to walk up and down stairs, lift or move objects/materials as needed.
- Work hours will be consistent Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
Schedule
Monday - Friday (9 am - 5 pm) 35 hours per week
Pay
$55,000 - $59,000/year
Salary is commensurate with education and experience
