Billing Specialist

Kanaan Communications is looking for a full-time Billing Specialist to join our team in Canton, MI. If you are a hard worker with strong organizational skills and Microsoft Office knowledge, we’d love to have you on board.

Responsibilities

• Create weekly Time-Material and Unit invoices for our client using multiple templates in Excel and other formats (labor, equipment, materials, and units).
• Act as the billing liaison between client, field personnel, the administrative team, and corporate headquarters.
• Data entry of all billing information into various software platforms.
• Reconcile client payments and open Accounts Receivable Reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced Excel and Adobe PDF skills
• Ability to understand and create complex spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
• Good customer service and conflict resolution skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify/correct mistakes
• Excellent communication with staff, outside representatives, and customers
• Good planning, analysis, and organizing skills
• Effective time management in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to teamwork through relationship building, reliability, and collaboration
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
