Billing Specialist

The Billing Specialist is responsible for performing specified financial tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of the Billing Department.

  • Create customer invoices on a daily basis
  • Create consumable supply invoicing – check current cost, adjust customer pricing when necessary to maintain proper margins as defined by management.
  • Process monthly recurring invoices, adjusting pricing when necessary.
  • Ensure all distribution codes are correct per line items on invoices.
  • Email or mail invoices as designated by the customer's preference.
  • Compile, analyze, and record billing data.
  • Verify any discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues as they arise.
  • Keep customer files updated with current invoices, bills, and contact information.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years Billing Experience (multi-location commercial services preferred)
  • Strong Collection Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail & strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of Great Plains preferred
