Billing Specialist
The Billing Specialist is responsible for performing specified financial tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of the Billing Department.
- Create customer invoices on a daily basis
- Create consumable supply invoicing – check current cost, adjust customer pricing when necessary to maintain proper margins as defined by management.
- Process monthly recurring invoices, adjusting pricing when necessary.
- Ensure all distribution codes are correct per line items on invoices.
- Email or mail invoices as designated by the customer's preference.
- Compile, analyze, and record billing data.
- Verify any discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues as they arise.
- Keep customer files updated with current invoices, bills, and contact information.
Qualifications
- 3+ years Billing Experience (multi-location commercial services preferred)
- Strong Collection Skills
- Excellent attention to detail & strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Knowledge of Great Plains preferred
