Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage authorizations, including monitoring statuses, tracking expirations, initiating re-authorizations, and contacting insurance agencies
• Manage census reports and follow up with insurance companies as needed
• Perform all patient statements
• Provide customer service functions using excellent communication skills

Requirements

• Prior billing experience is required
• Exposure to revenue cycle
• Familiarity with Massachusetts insurances, eligibility, etc.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with electronic health records (EHRs)
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of medical terminology
