Responsibilities

  • Prioritize health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times.
  • Calculate transactions based on inventory or other provided data.
  • Perform manifest reviews and enter manifests into the MMS system; inform appropriate personnel of missing or incorrect data.
  • Complete third-party invoice receipt, distribution to locations, and processing.
  • Review open transaction reports for errors or issues to keep billing current.
  • Submit customer invoices through manual email, customer portals, or other special delivery processes as assigned.
  • Complete daily entry of timekeeping and customer invoice conversation notes regarding submission status.
  • Address customer requests for weights, manifest copies, and invoice-related questions.
  • Follow and update existing standard operating procedures for duties.
  • Cross-train with other Billing Specialists and the Billing Manager to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Communicate invoice and pricing issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure invoice billing and submission are completed thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Distribute signed documents and/or manifest copies to customers and/or generators as needed.
  • Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or accounts payable (required).
