Billing/Scheduling Associate I (Remote) - Psychiatry
About the role
The Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Billing/Scheduling Associate I.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtains demographic & insurance information from patients.
- Communicates with physicians and clinical staff to assist with scheduling urgent or referred patient scheduling calls/requests.
- Reviews schedule for new patients, updating when necessary.
- Covers patient incoming clinic calls as needed.
- Performs daily edits and changes to provider scheduling templates.
- Works with patient reminder system results and contacts patients or makes scheduling changes.
- Maintains Handholder matrix.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Normal office environment. Physical effort: typically sitting at desk or table. Equipment: office equipment.

Education
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
