About the role

Robert Half is partnering with a respected client in the Rochester area to find an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys owning the day-to-day financial operations of a business and thrives in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day financial operations of a business, including managing the full accounting cycle.
  • Work independently to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and record keeping.
  • Partner closely with leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial information is available for decision-making.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
  • Experience with financial statement preparation and analysis.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

25 - 30 USD / Hourly
