Billing Clerk

Responsibilities

• Issue invoices to customers through email or various invoice submission portals
• Update customer files with issued invoices
• Create reports and present to managers
• Develop, review and submit cost reports in a timely manner
• Review accuracy of invoices prior to submission by performing various checks
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies
• Interpret contract language for verification of labor, material and equipment rates for various customers
• Provide management with daily status of completed functions
• Communicate effectively within the company in order to resolve client inquiries
• May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary
• Submit all invoices daily

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma and relevant work experience
• 3-5 years of proven billing experience
• A minimum of a year experience in billing refineries or construction industries
• Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
• Pass a drug screen and background check
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work productively and effectively in a team setting
• Focused on process improvement and achieving team and Company goals
• Must be a self-starter
• Ability to work under little or no supervisor and still achieve desired results
