Bilingual Spanish RN Telephone Triage (Work from Home)

About the Role

AccessNurse, where technology meets compassionate care, is seeking professional nurses for telephone triage roles. This position offers flexibility, balance, and a modern work-from-home environment. As a Telephone Triage RN, you’ll use clinical expertise and technology to guide patients across the lifespan and determine the best way to address their medical concerns over the phone.

Evening and weekend shifts are required, with full-time and part-time opportunities available (20+ hours). Incentives are offered for bilingual (Spanish) nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assess symptoms using physician-developed clinical algorithms.
• Deliver and document health education to assist patients in managing their symptoms when indicated.
• Assist in getting patients to the appropriate level of care (e.g., home care, an office visit, emergency room).
• Consult with physicians as needed.

Requirements

• Current multi-state RN license with no restrictions; nurses currently holding a single-state RN license must obtain a multi-state license prior to being made a job offer.
• 2+ years of RN experience.
• Proficiency using computers and typing a minimum of 25 WPM.
• Excellent listening and comprehension skills to determine key information from patients.

Remote Workstation / HIPAA Requirements

• Must have a high-speed internet connection.
• Workstation must be in a room where the door can be locked.
• Desk should be large enough to hold 2 monitors, a computer, accessories, and a hands-free headset.
• Ability to handle confidential information; HIPAA compliance is mandatory.

Training

Format: Virtual (Zoom)
Duration: 3 weeks
Attendance: 100% attendance required

• Week 1: September 14th – September 18th (M-F) – Live Zoom 10:00 AM–2:00 PM EST, then 4 hours/day of self-study.
• Week 2: September 21st – September 25th (M-F) – Live Zoom 10:00 AM–2:00 PM EST, then 4 hours/day of self-study.
• Week 3: September 28th – October 2nd (M-F) – Shift days/times with a preceptor will be discussed with the education manager.

Schedule
