Bilingual Spanish Clinical Research Coordinator

About the Role

Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis) to provide degree equivalency verification.

This position does not require patient care.

Responsibilities

• Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met.
• Recruits patients for clinical trials and conducts phone interviews.
• Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol.
• Prepares data for analysis and data entry.
• Documents patient visits and procedures.
• Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures.
• Assists with interviewing study subjects.
• Assists with study regulator submissions.

As a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in the Disparities Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital, you will focus on outreach to potential research participants for a large, multisite research study addressing health and healthcare inequities in socially vulnerable communities. Responsibilities include:

• Obtaining consent from participants in person at participating clinics or by phone.
• Maintaining efficient tracking of research activities and supporting the preparation of REDCap-based data collection systems.
• Facilitating administration of screening and follow-up interviews based on participant preference, either by providing data collection links or administering interviews verbally.
• Working with the research team to monitor and follow up with hard-to-reach cases, troubleshoot challenges in meeting milestones, and ensure data quality through fidelity and quality control checks.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Some relevant research project work; 0-1 year of experience preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $21.00 - $29.01/Hourly (Grade 5). At Mass General Brigham, base pay is determined by skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and other essential factors. The provided range is an estimate based on minimum job qualifications and does not encompass the total compensation package, which may include benefits, career advancement opportunities, differentials, premiums, bonuses, and recognition programs.
