About the role

We are seeking a motivated Physician Account Representative to develop and strengthen relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, and office staff throughout an assigned territory. In this field-based role, you will serve as the primary liaison between referring providers and our diagnostic imaging services, helping ensure patients have timely access to high-quality care. Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to effectively communicate clinical service offerings. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting providers, growing referral partnerships, and contributing to organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, practice administrators, office managers, and clinical staff within an assigned territory.
  • Grow referral volume through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and regular in-person visits.
  • Educate providers and office personnel on available diagnostic imaging services, scheduling processes, and clinical capabilities.
  • Conduct presentations and educational sessions to increase awareness of service offerings.
  • Manage territory activity, track sales performance, and execute strategic plans to achieve growth objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and payer dynamics to identify business opportunities.
  • Partner with operations, scheduling, and customer service teams to ensure an exceptional experience for referring providers and their patients.
  • Maintain accurate records of account activity and business development efforts using CRM tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of business development or sales experience; healthcare or medical sales experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain long-term professional relationships.
  • Experience with territory management, prospecting, and cold calling.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance goals.
  • Familiarity with healthcare environments, medical terminology, or diagnostic services is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
