Bilingual Mortgage - Loan Officer (Exempt)

About the role

Lennar, a Fortune 500 homebuilder, is seeking a full‑time, outside‑sales Bilingual (Spanish‑speaking) Loan Officer. The position involves developing new business relationships, meeting prospective customers and referral sources, and guiding borrowers through the mortgage process within the Lennar Mortgage roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Support company growth through outside‑sales activities and lead generation.
• Travel weekly to homebuilding communities, realtor offices, and other locations to solicit new business and leads.
• Conduct “First Time Homebuyer Seminars” in communities to develop leads and build relationships with New Home Consultants and prospects.
• Participate in builder and realtor functions, status meetings, phase releases, phone banks, and special events to maintain relationships and provide customer service.
• Meet with prospective/current customers to explain offerings, obtain loan applications and required documents, and attend closings.
• Review leads daily and contact prospects via telephone and email to schedule in‑person or virtual meetings.
• Originate and prepare new loans in accordance with the Loan Officer agreement and product/policy guidelines.
• Advise customers on mortgage products that best meet their individual needs.
• Review interest rates and lock loans with borrowers at least fifteen days prior to closing, following secondary‑marketing pricing and rate‑lock policies.
• Assist New Home Consultants with pre‑qualifications to develop an outside‑sales pipeline and provide loan status updates as needed.
• Meet or exceed closed‑loan capture rates and other sales goals set by the Division Manager.
• Maintain accurate reports and notes in the origination system regarding prospects, loan status, underwriting, rate locks, projected closings, incentives, and expenses.

Requirements

• Four‑year college degree (preferred).
• Bilingual Spanish speaking – a must.
• At least three years of loan‑originating experience.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• NMLS license required, or willingness to obtain one.
