Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer

About the role

Summit Credit Union, voted number one employer by WSJ and top ten by Madison Magazine, has an exciting opportunity to join our mortgage team as a Mortgage Loan Officer in the Waukesha market. The MLO provides personal, customized financial services to potential and existing members, serving as a trusted financial advisor by recommending solutions to improve their financial situation. The role involves originating investment-quality loans and meeting the diverse needs of the credit union's membership. The ideal candidate will build trustworthy relationships with branch staff and lending processors, participate in real estate business development activities, and possess a minimum of five years of mortgage lending experience in a retail financial environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized financial services to potential and existing members
• Serve as a trusted financial advisor by recommending solutions to improve member financial situations
• Originate investment-quality loans
• Meet the diverse needs of the credit union's membership
• Build trustworthy relationships with branch staff and lending processors
• Participate in real estate business development activities

Requirements

• The ideal candidate should have an associate’s degree in finance or a related field
• A minimum of five years of mortgage lending experience in a retail financial environment
• Customer-focused with sales experience
• Experience with loan products such as 1st mortgages, 2nd mortgages, WHEDA, construction loans, and loan processing
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills
• Ability to obtain a NMLS
