Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer

About the role

Summit Credit Union, voted number one employer by WSJ and top ten by Madison Magazine, seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer to join our mortgage team in the Beaver Dam market. The ideal candidate will provide personalized financial services, serve as a trusted financial advisor, and build relationships within the credit union.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal, customized financial services to potential and existing members
• Serve as a trusted financial advisor by recommending solutions to improve financial situations
• Originate investment-quality loans to meet the diverse needs of the membership
• Build and maintain relationships with branch staff and lending processors
• Participate in real estate business development activities

Requirements

• Equivalent of an associate's degree in finance or a related field
• Minimum of five years mortgage lending experience in a retail financial environment, with a focus on customer service and sales
• Experience with various loan products including 1st mortgages, 2nd mortgages, WHEDA, and construction loans
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills, along with strong organizational abilities
• Ability to obtain a NMLS (National Mortgage Licensing System)

• Strong background in finance and business
• Proven track record in mortgage lending
• Effective communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
