Responsibilities
- Answering, screening, and directing incoming calls, taking messages, and handling voicemail inquiries.
- Booking, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments.
- Collecting and updating demographic and insurance information, verifying patient eligibility, and registering new patients.
- Processing referrals, preparing and scanning medical records, and performing data entry.
- Acting as a liaison between patients, medical staff, and other departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
- Bilingual - Spanish Required
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Healthcare Experience a Plus!
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with a focus on empathy, professional phone etiquette, and clear diction.
- Comfort with technology including phone systems, email, documentation management systems, EHR systems
