Bilingual Field Interviewer (Spanish) - PACE Project

Vital Research is seeking independent contractors to conduct in-person interviews with older adults in Cleveland, Ohio for PACE survey projects aimed at improving participant satisfaction. The project begins with mandatory hybrid training the week of August 31st and runs through mid-November.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews with participants at day centers while maintaining punctuality, independence, and unbiased interactions.
• Keep organized records of interviews and provide daily updates to the Vital Research team (e.g., completed interviews, refusals).
• Build positive relationships with customers and comprehend their feedback.
• Use a company-issued tablet to conduct 10-15 minute in-person interviews in a private setting.
• Utilize personal cell phone and email to stay in regular contact with Vital Research.
• Comply with confidentiality, federal HIPAA regulations, and data security requirements.
• Be available between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm during assignments (actual hours worked will vary).

Requirements

• Fluent in Spanish and English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Comfort interacting with older adults and demonstrating sensitivity to disability, illness, and communication challenges.
• Strong organization, time management, and interpersonal skills with timely communication via email and phone.
• Proficient with email, file uploads/downloads, internet use, and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Personal computer (or compatible device) with access to MS Excel and the internet.
• Personal phone and reliable wireless internet.
• Ability to read, type, and record responses accurately.
• Follow structured protocols to comply with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Adhere to a business casual dress code and other personal requirements.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with older adults, nursing homes, assisted living, or adult daycare centers preferred.
• Interviewing experience preferred.

Pay

• $24.00 per hour for interview time.
• $12.00 per hour for travel time.
• Mileage and other reimbursements included.
