Bilingual DC Onboarding & Training Lead-Evening Shift (Fri-Sun 5pm-5am) (Saturday 5pm-3am)
About the role
Provide verbal and written translation support from English to Spanish and Spanish to English, ensuring the translated version conveys the meaning of the original visual graphic or verbal conversation as clearly as possible.
Responsibilities
- Translate written material from English to Spanish and/or Spanish to English, edit the wording as needed.
- Research retail operations, HR, marketing, etc. to find the most appropriate translation.
- Partner with internal clients to discuss any unclear points.
- Proofread and edit final translated versions.
- Provide internal clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text via the appropriate communication medium.
- Provide “live” translation support during group meetings, one-on-one meetings, etc., including onboarding and training support.
- Prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Uphold confidentiality when involved in sensitive conversations.
- Perform various functions of the Merchandise Processor position across all departments as needed.
- Handle other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience teaching or translating English to Spanish.
- Ability to speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
- High degree of proficiency in Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
- Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting.
Skills
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Google applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
- Ability to work well with others and adapt to a variety of communication styles.
- Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects to timely completion.
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, and stack cartons for up to 10 hours at a time.
- Stand for long periods of time and walk continuously.
- Pull merchandise from multiple levels of shelving or move merchandise as needed.
- Climb stairs and perform work at platform heights up to 60 feet.
- Lift up to 50 lbs (specific weight requirements may vary within each department).
