Bilingual Collections Specialist

SunStrong Management is a leading independent asset management and servicing platform specializing in residential and commercial solar energy portfolios. We provide end-to-end services including operations and maintenance, customer billing and support, asset performance management, and investor reporting.

About the role

SunStrong Management is seeking a Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Collections Specialist with B2C experience within the solar or energy industry. This fully remote position focuses on maintaining and collecting past due, delinquent, and defaulted accounts through customer contact via phone, email, or automated dialer.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned past due inventory and contact customers to analyze account information.
• Provide research on customer accounts to other work groups or customers as needed.
• Establish payment arrangements consistent with SunStrong Management policy to help customers resolve outstanding balances.
• Handle inbound customer telephone calls and provide resolutions to prevent escalations.
• Request updates on outstanding cases, enter new cases, or comment on existing cases as needed.
• Perform account maintenance including accurate note-taking, updating demographics, and removing bad phone numbers.
• Demonstrate a customer service approach using soft skills to reduce delinquent accounts while maintaining a positive customer experience.
• Perform skip tracing, enter accounts for service disconnect, and escalate account issues to the correct departments.
• Perform other functions as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year of experience in collecting delinquent accounts.
• Three to five years’ experience in a customer service and/or call center setting.
• Intermediate skills with Microsoft Excel, Office, and Teams.
• Bilingual in Spanish (highly preferred).
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks timely.
• Previous experience in the utility or solar industry is preferred but not required.
• Stable Wi-Fi connection for this remote position.
• Ability to adhere to PCI and Compliance standards.

Schedule

10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST (Fully remote). Projects and activities may occasionally require working longer hours.

Pay

Hourly rate plus incentive.
