Bilingual Clinical Trials Associate 1 - On Site

About the role

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Clinical Trials Associate to join the VISPR Program, formerly called the Halasa/Chappell Lab, within the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The position is based at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital and involves a flexible schedule of four 10-hour shifts, Sunday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Affirm patient eligibility by gathering and reviewing medical histories.
• Monitor and document treatments and outcomes for study patients.
• Report adverse reactions according to Vanderbilt and protocol guidelines.
• Abstract and record patient data onto required case report forms.
• Set up timelines for tests and procedures, and coordinate with patient’s PCP or testing facility.
• Prepare and label test kits, and inform tumor registry and clinics of patient status.
• Examine data to ensure compliance with protocols.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree (or equivalent experience), with a bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience is helpful but not required.
• Previous patient care or customer service experience is mandatory.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory practices and medical records management.
• Understanding of research administration and compliance.
