About the role
Work collaboratively with the learning community clinician to develop and implement a linguistically diverse learning community for the California State University, Chico School of Social Work’s Bilingual Bridges Behavioral (BBB) Health Program.
Responsibilities
- Meet weekly, individually or in groups, with BBB students to provide language support and answer questions related to academic success and work-life balance.
- Meet with the BBB team and/or learning community clinician at least twice per month.
- Attend all BBB-required trainings as directed by the Behavioral Health Program team.
- Auxiliary in planning, organizing, and facilitating social and team-building activities.
- Communicate with the Behavioral Health Program team regarding student progress and concerns.
Requirements
- Graduate of the California State University, Chico School of Social Work from 2022 to the present.
- Linguistically proficient in either Spanish or Hmong.
- Work experience in a behavioral health setting within the Northern California service region.
- Availability during evenings or weekends to meet with MSW BBB students.
- Familiarity with the California State University, Chico School of Social Work curriculum and course sequencing.
- Knowledge of the 18-county Superior Region service area.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
