About the role

GCON is seeking an Estimating Coordinator who will play a pivotal role in the company’s bidding process. This position involves coordinating and managing the entire lifecycle of bid solicitation and tracking, engaging with trade partners, organizing project schedules, and supporting estimating and budgeting efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cook up and manage the full lifecycle of bid solicitation and tracking
  • Post projects and actively engage trade partners to solicit competitive bids
  • Maintain and update the project scheduler, ensuring accuracy and consistency
  • Organize and manage document flow within estimating and bid tracking systems
  • Set up and maintain projects within estimating platforms (including BuildingConnected)
  • Track plans, specs, and related documentation
  • Communicate consistently with subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely responses
  • Support estimating and budgeting efforts, including bid leveling and analysis
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with trade partners through proactive outreach
  • Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or missing information and escalate when needed
  • Continuously look for ways to improve processes and support team efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • 5-7 years of estimating coordination experience
  • Prior estimating experience with a General Contractor
  • Proficiency with BuildingConnected
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
