Bicycle Patrol Security Officer - Full Time

About the role

Bicycle Patrol Security Officers join our Mobile Response Team (MRT), providing rapid emergency deployment of officers into developing incidents. These officers work independently and are capable of individual critical decision-making skills without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Rove, patrol, and survey the property outdoors.
• Monitor standard security and radio communication to handle and escalate incidents as needed.
• Perform first aid within their scope of training.
• Ensure client medical forms are filled out and collected properly.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
• Set up barriers / signage and provide direction or information to others.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.
• Provide detailed written reports.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required, OR ability to complete GED program within 6 months.
• 1+ year of customer service and 1+ year of security experience required.
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus.
• Must be able to operate a bicycle.
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation measures.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in Securitas’ pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
