About the role
At Securitas, Bicycle Patrol Security Officers are integral members of the Mobile Response Team (MRT), providing rapid emergency deployment and specialized security services.
Responsibilities
- Rove, patrol, and survey the property outdoors.
- Maintain standard security and radio communication to handle and escalate incidents as needed.
- Use various communication platforms to monitor and escalate information for rapid emergency response and accurate information dissemination.
- Provide real-time, clear, and concise updates on a developing incident to the supervisor.
- Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
- Protect evidence or the scene of an incident in case of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
- Set up barriers/signage and provide direction or information to others.
- Provide detailed written reports.
- Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned sites.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required, or ability to complete GED program within 6 months.
- 2+ years of professional experience in customer service and security required.
- Standard computer/technology skills needed.
- Prior Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
- CPR/AED certification.
- Must be able to operate a bicycle.
- Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
- Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and use appropriate escalation measures.
Qualifications
- Must pass Securitas’ pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
