About the role

At Securitas, Bicycle Patrol Security Officers are integral members of the Mobile Response Team (MRT), providing rapid emergency deployment and specialized security services.

Responsibilities

  • Rove, patrol, and survey the property outdoors.
  • Maintain standard security and radio communication to handle and escalate incidents as needed.
  • Use various communication platforms to monitor and escalate information for rapid emergency response and accurate information dissemination.
  • Provide real-time, clear, and concise updates on a developing incident to the supervisor.
  • Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
  • Protect evidence or the scene of an incident in case of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
  • Set up barriers/signage and provide direction or information to others.
  • Provide detailed written reports.
  • Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned sites.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required, or ability to complete GED program within 6 months.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in customer service and security required.
  • Standard computer/technology skills needed.
  • Prior Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus.
  • CPR/AED certification.
  • Must be able to operate a bicycle.
  • Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
  • Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and use appropriate escalation measures.

Qualifications

  • Must pass Securitas’ pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

$28.90 per hour.
