Security Officer Full Time Bicycle Patrol

As a Full Time Unarmed Bicycle Patrol Security Officer at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a higher education setting. You will monitor and patrol campus areas by bike, maintaining a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus contacts and/or emergency responders according to site procedures.
- Monitor access points and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns through required communication channels and documentation systems.
- Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic educational environment.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- Must be able to ride a bike.
- Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $17.75 / Hour

- Friday: 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM
- Saturday: 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM
- Sunday: 06:00 PM – 02:00 AM
