About the role

To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by being an effective team member.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of residents at all times in accordance with their integrated individual support plan.
  • Maintain a supportive, therapeutic relationship with each service participant.
  • Be aware of each service participant’s individual service plan, history, medications, current needs and any special accommodations required by the participant.
  • Act as a role model at all times, maintaining appropriate boundaries and demonstrating effective communication skills.
  • Maintain clear and consistent expectations of each service participant while maintaining a safe, supportive environment.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and 12 credit hours from an accredited college/university, or an approved waiver from CBH that includes a rationale for hiring without the required credit hours.
  • 2 years’ experience in human services, paid or unpaid, preferably with adults with psychiatric and/or intellectual disabilities.
  • Fluency in Spanish language required.
  • Able to use an Electronic Health Record.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to assist in crisis management interventions, administer CPR/First Aid, and assist individuals with mobility issues as needed.

Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric and/or intellectual disabilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
