About the role
The BHC Social Worker provides outpatient clinical and social work services, including psychosocial assessments, individual psychological assessments, individual/group/family therapy, and participation on interdisciplinary treatment teams. This role involves understanding relevant community resources, insurance, regulatory, and legal system issues pertinent to patient care in an inpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and individual psychological assessments.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy.
- Participate on interdisciplinary treatment teams.
- Understand and navigate community resources, insurance, and regulatory/legal systems relevant to patient care.
- Apply knowledge of CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and evidence-based practices.
- Provide individual and family supportive counseling and advocacy.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Adhere to NASW code of conduct principles.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW).
- Licensed in the State of Vermont as an LICSW.
- Three to five years of LICSW social work experience in psychotherapy, medical crisis intervention, and solution-focused therapy.
- Experience working with adults with acute mental illness and substance abuse disorders.
- Managed-care experience is a plus.
Skills
- Proficiency in psychosocial assessments, utilization, and case management principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources.
- Expertise in CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic Microsoft Windows desktop application and navigation skills.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards for acute inpatient and outpatient psychological services.
Pay
$35.37 - $51.53 per hour.
