Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong customer service and/or student advocacy through a positive attitude, adaptability, strong problem-solving, and a desire to support student success.

- Engage in behaviors that go beyond the easiest or surface answer, identifying and solving problems quickly and professionally.
- Follow proper laws, guidelines, and procedures for handling alcohol.
- Must be 21 or older and obtain an Alcohol Server Permit within 30 days.
- Utilize proper ServSafe practices in receiving and labeling, and storing of all food products and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in designated areas such as the Beer Cooler, Wine Cooler, Spirits Room, behind the bar, and wine storage.
- Perform front-of-house service and cashier duties in the Café, Courses Restaurant, and the bar area.
- Direct employees and students in the execution of events in the front or back of the house.
- Converse professionally with internal and external customers.
- Maintain accurate inventory and costing of alcohol in-house.
- Wear the required uniform when in labs or classes: Ivy Tech polo, black pants, slip-resistant shoes, and a lab coat when prepping or around food prep.
- May wear business casual on general office days when not participating in a lab or class.
- Willing to accept any responsibility and able to supervise others when necessary without oversight.
Qualifications
- Minimum of successfully completing (HOSP customer service class) or having previous comparable industry experience within the Hospitality Administration curriculum.
- A current ATC certificate and a Beverage Server Permit.
- Preferred qualifications may include additional coursework for duties pertaining to food prep and handling alcohol.

Pay
$17.25 per hour
Schedule
Schedule will vary based on class schedules, volume of business in the restaurants, Café, and Hospitality events.
