Responsibilities

  • Act as backup for I9 processing
  • Assist employees with enrollments, changes, and inquiries, and ensure compliance with plan requirements.
  • Support Compliance department with any crossover needs between HR and Compliance.
  • Support performance management cycles, including goal setting, reviews, feedback sessions, and development planning.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, wage/hour, etc.), update policies as needed and assist with audits and reporting.
  • Manage leave processes including ADA, FMLA, etc.
  • Own the end-to-end workers' compensation process: incident intake, claim filing, and coordination with insurance carriers and adjusters.
  • Partner with managers and employees on light-duty and return-to-work programs following work-related injuries.
  • Track and ensure timely OSHA recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
  • Liaise with brokers/carriers on claims reviews, reserve management, and cost containment strategies.
  • Assist with employee training and development initiatives, including tracking completion and coordinating sessions.
  • Support special projects such as compensation reviews, policy updates, or HR process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • Heavy experience in benefits, leave, and workers' compensation
  • Knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations (additional state-specific knowledge a plus).
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred)
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred
  • Attentive to details and ability to work in a high growth environment
