About the Role

Supports system employee benefit plan administration and data management, including employee benefits enrollment, billing, and auditing. Works with employees, other HR teams, and benefits vendors to resolve questions and unusual occurrences.

About the Department

As part of the Human Resources team, the Benefits, Compensation, and HR Tech department provides centralized management of compensation and benefits programs that enable the organization to be market competitive and meet compliance and equity objectives. The team provides professional and knowledgeable guidance and support to management, other HR functions, and employees in the orientation, implementation, and equitable administration of compensation and benefits. The team is also responsible for the job description function and for delivering performance management tools to assist in developing talent within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and apply human resources policies, procedures, practices, programs, federal/state employment laws, labor contracts, and employment agreements.
  • Ensure confidentiality of employee and protected health information.
  • Use discretion when processing and handling sensitive human resources issues.
  • Perform group presentations, tactfully discuss issues, and listen to and understand complex information/situations.
  • Work with all levels within the organization and facilitate communication.
  • Effectively document related activities.
  • Identify complex problems, analyze related information, and develop solutions.
  • Gather information and apply critical thinking to evaluate options and build consensus.
  • Organize, plan, and prioritize work to complete within required time frames.
  • Follow up on pending issues and perform multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • Two (2) years of Human Resources experience with benefits responsibilities required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications and data management required.

Skills

  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office suite and data management tools.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent time management and ability to thrive under pressure.
