Responsibilities
- Support the administration of U.S. teammate benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, HSA, flexible spending accounts, life, disability, supplemental benefits, 401(k), wellness, and other related programs.
- Partner with teammates, managers, vendors, carriers, and internal HR stakeholders to support accurate enrollment, eligibility, deductions, life event changes, and benefit issue resolution.
- Maintain a strong teammate service orientation while ensuring benefit processes are completed accurately and timely.
- Respond to benefit-related inquiries from teammates and managers through the HR teammate support system, including questions related to plan provisions, enrollment status, qualifying life events, payroll deductions, carrier issues, and general benefit processes.
- Research and resolve moderately complex benefit matters, engage vendors, carriers, and brokers as needed, and escalate complex or sensitive issues to the appropriate Benefits leader.
- Support Annual Open Enrollment activities, including preparation and review of teammate communications, benefit guides, presentations, FAQs, enrollment instructions, and related materials.
- Aid in teammate meetings, webinars, enrollment questions, and post-enrollment activities to help ensure timely and accurate transmission of enrollment information to vendors and carriers.
- Provide secondary or backup support for leave of absence administration when needed, including coordination related to FMLA, non-FMLA medical leaves, state-specific leaves, paid parental leave, personal leaves, disability-related leaves, and USERRA. Assist with teammates, managers, vendors, and HR Business Partner communications to support continuity of service.
- Support benefit data integrity through regular audits of HRIS, payroll, vendor, and carrier records. Assist with benefit-related reporting, invoice reviews, eligibility audits, deduction reconciliations, and compliance support related to U.S. benefit programs, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and other applicable regulations. Monitor routine benefit administration processes and recommend corrections or process improvements as needed.
- Administer the U.S. wellness program, including supporting the annual communication campaign, educating teammates on program requirements, partnering with the wellness vendor to enhance the teammate experience, resolving participant questions or concerns, and supporting engagement efforts.
- Conduct ongoing benefit orientations for new hires and eligible teammates. Explain benefit programs, enrollment timing, self-service tools, and teammate responsibilities in a clear and accessible manner. Support teammate understanding of benefit resources and available tools.
- Support benefit-related projects, process improvements, system updates, vendor transitions, and integration activities related to organizational growth or acquisitions. Assist with documenting processes, improving teammate-facing materials, and identifying opportunities to increase efficiency, accuracy, and teammate experience.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED and relevant work experience (required); Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or related discipline (preferred).
- Experience: 3+ years Benefits administration (required); 1+ years Leave of absence, disability, FMLA, or state leave coordination (preferred); 1+ years HRIS, benefits administration system, payroll, carrier, or vendor data reconciliation experience (preferred); 1+ years Experience supporting annual enrollment, benefit communications, teammate education, and vendor/carrier issue resolution (preferred).
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Knowledge of U.S. health, welfare, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefit programs; High Knowledge of U.S. benefits compliance requirements, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, and general plan administration; Medium Working knowledge of leave of absence programs sufficient to provide secondary or back-up support; High Ability to research and resolve moderately complex benefit, enrollment, payroll deduction, carrier, and vendor issues; High Ability to coordinate effectively with benefit vendors, carriers, brokers, payroll, HRIS, HR Business Partners, and internal HR stakeholders; High Ability to maintain accurate benefit records and support data integrity through audits, reconciliations, reporting, and follow-up; High Proficiency with HRIS, benefits administration platforms, payroll systems, carrier/vendor portals, and Microsoft Excel; High Strong teammate service orientation, communication skills, confidentiality, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
