Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the administration of certain health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, leave administration, tuition reimbursement, and/or wellness programs in the US and Canada.
- Ensures employee benefits are administered accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinates with benefits providers, brokers, and third-party administrators. Monitors vendor performance and helps to resolve any service issues in coordination with the Benefits Manager.
- Assists in the preparation and execution of annual US Open Enrollment and Special Enrollment windows (e.g., unions or in Puerto Rico or Canada).
- Works with vendors and Benefits Operations to ensure systems are updated and tested, plus communications are sent.
- Coordinates with vendors to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and COBRA.
- Help ensures programs are carried out in accordance with company's policies and procedures, including compliance with HIPAA.
- Process Improvement: Continuously reviews and improves benefits administration processes for efficiency and employee satisfaction, working with the Benefits Administration (RBA) and Benefits Operations (HRIS) teams.
- Additional Functions: May conduct benefit audits to ensure data integrity aligns with payroll and/or assist in special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required
- 1-2 years of experience in benefits administration or a related HR role, including proven knowledge of benefits practices and regulations
