About the role

The Senior Benefits Specialist will manage multiple benefit plans in compliance with ERISA requirements, prepare financial statements and Form 5500s, and provide internal customer support for employee benefit programs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial statements and Form 5500s for multiple benefit plans in compliance with ERISA requirements.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly account analyses.
  • Work with internal and external auditors to demonstrate compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and appropriate internal controls.
  • Coordinate and provide internal customer support for employee benefit programs for active, retired, and disabled employees.
  • Act as a liaison between employees and benefit providers to resolve benefit related problems and ensure effective utilization of the plans.
  • Develop, implement, and follow administrative procedures to monitor and reduce costs, improve delivery of programs, and ensure compliance.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, And Experience

  • Benefits accounting experience.
  • Internal customer service experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in employee benefit plans administration.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Basic HRIS experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
