Position Summary
In the Benefits Technology Specialist I role, the successful candidate supports the Benefits Technology Team with a high volume of technical work assignments, including:
- Configuring benefit administration platforms such as Ease, Employee Navigator, and others for new clients and renewals
- Collaborating with the Benefits Technology Team to complete build request workbooks for new builds and renewals
- Project managing builds with various stakeholders by developing timelines and executing deliverables
- Testing new and existing system functionality to ensure accuracy of client system configuration
- Providing technical consultation to producers and service teams for prospects and clients
- Providing client-facing and internal demonstrations of benefits administration platforms
- Auditing platform builds, communicating findings and resolving errors
- Solving and troubleshooting technical issues
- Communicating with carriers and vendors for build mapping
- Running various reports, managing intake process, and researching service inquiries
Factors for Success
- 1+ years of Benefits/Account Management experience
- 1+ years of related customer service experience
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Life & Health insurance license preferred or open to obtaining
- Experience in benefits technology platforms, enrollment processes, EDI/API feeds is a plus
- Strong written/verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Strong analytical skills and ability to use data for strategy
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy/thoroughness
- High level of productivity, reliability, responsibility, attendance, dependability, and organization
- Ability to take initiative to meet challenges with resourcefulness and new innovative approaches while maintaining a high level of quality
- A passion for teamwork, client service, and reaching business results through problem-solving

The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000k depending on geographical location and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience, and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope, and level.
