Responsibilities
- Perform welding and soldering tasks to join metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Use basic math skills to measure, cut, and shape metal pieces
- Operate various tools and equipment such as welding machines, grinders, and calipers
- Assemble and weld components according to specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including stick welding
- Knowledge of ductwork fabrication and installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements
- Familiarity with operating press brake machines is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Ability to use calipers for precise measurements
- Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during the fabrication process
