About the role

As an In-House Service/Repair Technician, you will perform servicing and repair of company products at an established repair site or service center. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures, performing maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products, and assisting in reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues. You will communicate with field-based technicians for failure diagnostics or repair details but generally without direct client contact.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software, and systems failures using established procedures.
- Perform maintenance, testing, and calibration of repaired products.
- Assist in generating reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues.
- Communicate with field-based technicians to gather details helpful for failure diagnostics or repair.
- Identify product failure trends and serviceability issues.
- Lift, install, and move large self-service equipment (occasionally up to 50 pounds).
- Maintain parts inventory in a self-organized manner.
- Work within a team environment and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Use basic hand tools for repairs.
- Occasional overnight stays may be required.
Requirements
- Some understanding of and experience with troubleshooting computer software and hardware technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with proven technical and customer satisfaction skills.
- Ability to promptly respond to customer/management requests and feedback.
- Proven self-starter with motivation and ability to work independently.
- Strong organization and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills to determine cost-effective repair/resolution and minimize customer downtime.
- Ability to drive a non-CDL delivery truck.
- Pass background check, DOT certification, and drug test.
