Bench Assistant Deli Manager (Cortland, Owego, Norwich)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Smile, make eye contact and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
• Maintain a neat and clean work station at all times.
• Aid the deli manager with daily deli operations including scheduling, inventory management, and financial aspects.
• Merchandise deli food products, including pricing, rotation, shelf allocation, and displays.
• Prepare in-store made prepared food programs.
• Prepare chickens and side orders for Roaster Chicken program.
• Perform sanitation duties according to corporate and state regulations, such as cleaning slicers, dishes, hot cases, and floors.
• Maintain high levels of customer courtesy and service at all times.
• Stock deli warehouse orders.
• Operate deli department product-weight scales and slicers as well as other departmental equipment.
• Keep Cold case logs, Hot food logs, and Cooling logs consistent with store policy.
• Work within company efficiency standards.
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
