About the Role

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be determined by the supervisor based on the company's requirements.

• Picks up and delivers guest laundry to and from guest rooms in a timely, accurate manner.
• Maintains and posts hotel reader boards and public area signage.
• Cleans and polishes carts and other equipment used in the department.
• Retrieves and inputs data from a computer terminal accurately.
• Answers the Bell desk phone and provides information as needed.
• Reads and matches luggage tags, writes claim tickets, and detaches portion to give to guest.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Effectively deal with internal and external customers, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy.
• Read English to ascertain information from luggage tags and claim checks, and write numbers and names on claim checks and rooming lists.
• Grasp, lift, and/or carry packages, boxes, and luggage up to 100 lbs. continuously throughout shift.
• Stand, walk, and/or sit while performing essential job functions.
• Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances on property.
• Maintain a hospitable service atmosphere at all times.

Requirements

• Sufficient manual dexterity in one hand to load and unload luggage.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a 14-passenger shuttle bus.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.00 – $17.00 per hour. Compensation within this range will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, and other job-related factors consistent with applicable law.

Work schedules for this position are based on business needs and may include:

• Evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Shifts based on occupancy levels, events, and seasonal demand.

Schedules are communicated in advance in accordance with company policy.
