The Hotel Hershey is a luxury resort known for its refined elegance, signature services, and abundant amenities. Situated atop the town of Hershey, the 1930's hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA Four-Diamond Award winner. This part-time position is responsible for providing guests with exceptional hospitality and service, embodying the warmth and gracious atmosphere of The Hotel Hershey.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with luggage upon arrival and departure*
• Provide guests with valet parking and safe transport*
• Receive room key and passport from the front desk and escort guests to assigned rooms*
• Secure guest luggage in check-in rooms*
• Learn room types, floor plans, and guest amenities
• Respond to guest inquiries professionally to promote hotel services and facilities*
• Inspect rooms for items left behind
• Deliver requested items to guest rooms
• Attend position-related meetings
• Secure guest coats at coat check locations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid PA driver’s license and verified good driving record
• Post-employment: RAMP Certification
• Friendly, outgoing, and customer-service-oriented personality
• Previous work experience is helpful
• Must meet appearance standards and maintain hospitality standards
• Ability to communicate in English, both oral and written
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of all safety and security procedures
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and bend for the majority of the shift
• Ability to work in varying temperatures

Schedule

This is a seasonal, part-time position available for the summer beginning April/May. The working schedule may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. This is a union position, and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be available for evening and weekend hours.
