About the role

Alyeska Resort is seeking Bell Desk professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska. You’ll play an essential role in providing a great first impression and setting the table for guests to have a remarkable stay.

Responsibilities

• Escort incoming hotel guests to rooms, assist with hand luggage, and offer information about available services and facilities of the Resort, local points of interest, and events.
• Explain features of the room such as the operation of television, safe, locks, and how to place telephone calls.
• Transfer guest luggage, trunks, packages, and other baggage to guest rooms or loading areas.
• Arrange for outgoing freight, express, or mail shipments; compute charges, tag articles, and record information such as addressee, addressor, carrier, and charges on specified forms.
• Supply guests with travel information such as transportation rates, routes, and schedules.
• Greet arriving and departing guests, answer inquiries, or direct them to the proper person.
• Inspect guest rooms to ensure furnishings are in order and supplies are adequate.
• Deliver messages, run errands, and transport packages, suitcases, and trunks.
• Park guest vehicles in the Valet lot.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid US Driver’s License (with a clean driving record).
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months of related experience and/or training.
• Prior experience in the hotel or tourism industry preferred.
