Job Duties
- Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers.
- Supervises and instructs assigned personnel on safety procedures.
- Handles customer complaints and follows up with appropriate supervisor as to corrective action.
- Attends to bell desk to ensure all requests or instructions, telephone or otherwise, are promptly and efficiently executed.
- Captures and coordinates various transportation facilities such as car rentals, limousine service, etc.
- Maintains the flow of luggage from the cars to the hotel and vice versa.
- Prepares, maintains and routes all guest and employee incident and accident reports to assigned supervisor.
- Captures and coordinates operating activities with the front desk and parking areas.
- Provides input and recommends changes to assigned supervisor, with reference to hiring, promotion, demotion, release and performance of bell and door staff.
- Maintains channels of communication with staff and management.
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, as well as with all levels of employees.
- This position is subject of varying levels of smoke, crowds and noise, the severity of which depends upon customer volume.
- This position is, at times, required to work outside and is subject to all weather conditions.
- Ability to use a telephone.
- Ability to read and understand information on a computer terminal.
- Ability to move luggage from cars to rooms and vice versa throughout an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently move around the work area.
- Knowledge of bell desk and door operations.
