Responsibilities
- Supervise Behavior Technicians to ensure consistent utilization of Behavior Management techniques that promote a smooth functioning environment and MSDE compliance.
- Provide assigned staff with performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training.
- Make recommendations for decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, corrective action plans, and similar actions.
- Resolve employee problems and serve as a resource within position responsibilities.
- Serve as a liaison to other departments within the agency and participate as a member of the administrative management team on behalf of the school; attend school meetings, including IEPs.
- Support and supervise one-to-one advocates from outside agencies.
- Establish and maintain supportive working relationships within the agency, school, and broader community service network.
- Act as a behavioral consultant to school, treatment team, and/or agency staff regarding any facet of a student’s educational and behavioral development.
- Instruct and support staff in the use of the Behavior Management System including in-service training and professional development.
- Participate as part of the admissions team for intake and orientation of new students.
- Offer educational and behavioral classroom direction as needed.
- Prepare behavioral progress reports and summaries on a student’s functioning for the educational and clinical departments including documentation for annual reviews and IEPs.
- Provide on-call coverage on a rotational basis when the agency and school are closed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in education, mental health, psychology, or human services a plus.
- Two years’ experience in a Behavioral Technician role with experience in supervision of Behavioral Management Programming and conflict resolution.
- Certified Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) Trainer or MSDE trainer certified by an accredited college/university.
- Above average communication skills and ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in fast paced environment.
- Ability to act quickly and calmly in emergency situations and withstand the work and pressures of day-to-day crisis interventions.

Pay
$50,000 - $60,000
Schedule
Rotational on-call coverage when the agency and school are closed.
