Position Overview
The Behavioral Home Direct Support Professional serves as a community connector, supporting individuals through community mapping and intentional engagement to promote social inclusion.

Compensation & Benefits
- $1,000 Sign-On Bonus
- Paid Time Off (PTO): 22 days annually for full-time employees (40 hours/week), PTO increases with longevity, no waiting period to begin using PTO

Key Responsibilities
- Support individuals with planned activities and community involvement
- Develop relationship maps to identify social inclusion opportunities
- Provide continuous supervision and intervene as needed to maintain safety
- Auxiliary responsibilities include assisting with hygiene supports as needed, promoting self-esteem through meaningful community participation, providing individualized supports, assisting with orientation and training of new staff, administering medications in accordance with He-M 1201, as applicable, completing required documentation, including data collection and progress notes, participating in Person-Centered Planning and goal implementation, reporting safety, health, or human rights concerns immediately, ensuring compliance with state regulations and agency policies, performing other duties as assigned

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Work Environment: Primarily indoor residential setting, occasional noise and high-stimulation periods, staff expected to provide support during stressful situations
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent walking and standing, occasional stair climbing, ability to push wheelchairs and operate lifts, ability to follow behavioral intervention techniques
Travel Requirements
- Access to a personal vehicle during scheduled work hours
- Travel with individuals using personal or agency vehicles
- Valid NH driver's license and safe driving record
- Adequate automobile liability insurance
