About the role
The PRN Behavioral Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy services, assessing patients' biopsychosocial histories and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and monitor personalized treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Affirms patient problems and gathers detailed biopsychosocial information throughout hospitalization.
- Develops and implements treatment goals in coordination with patients, families, and the treatment team.
- Schedules and conducts therapy sessions, tracking patient progress toward goals.
- Ensures quality care by adhering to regulations, documenting clinical interactions, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Buils relationships with community agencies and promotes program services.
- Provides supervision and clinical experience for interns, fostering professional growth.
- Maintains licensure, stays current with professional development, and practices ethically.
- Performs technical and clinical competencies as required, with responsibilities adaptable based on department needs.
Qualifications
- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy, with at least one year of related experience and appropriate licensure (e.g., LPC, LMSW, LMFT, LMLP).
- PREFERRED: Addiction counseling and clinical licensure.
- Strong communication skills, computer literacy, and ability to engage clients are essential.
