Behavioral Health Therapist I - Casual/PRN

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and determine appropriate levels of care.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Provide psychotherapy and counseling services utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers and/or stakeholders to ensure holistic and integrated care.
Respond to mental health crises and provide immediate support.
De-escalate crises and promote safety.
Facilitate and deliver critical incident response services and offer psychoeducation as requested.
Connect clients with appropriate resources and services.
Requirements
A master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or another human services-related field.
A minimum of one year of post-master’s clinical experience with major mental illness, counseling/therapy, and/or substance use/abuse treatment.
A Nebraska Provisional Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (PLMHP) or Nebraska Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) license.
A Licensed Alcohol Drug Abuse Counselor (LADC) license preferred.
A Certified Marriage and Family Therapist (CMFT) certification preferred.

Ability to adhere to all state, federal, and organizational regulatory and ethical standards.
Ability to prioritize self-care to avoid burnout and maintain professional effectiveness.
Ability to solicit and accept feedback for ongoing improvement and learning.
Ability to work set hours for their specific position which may include early morning, and/or some evenings.
Ability to travel occasionally between locations as needed.
Available for occasional on-call coverage as scheduled/necessary.
