About the role
We are seeking a Behavioral Health Specialist to join our Adolescent Psychiatry team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care and therapeutic services to adolescents in a psychiatric setting, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support mental health treatment and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct behavioral health services to adolescent patients, including individual and group therapy sessions
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
- Implement therapeutic interventions and crisis management strategies as needed
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records
- Coordinate care with families, caregivers, and external providers
- Participate in treatment team meetings and contribute to patient care planning
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Current independent licensure or license-eligible status in the state of Ohio (LISW, LPCC, or equivalent)
- Experience working with adolescents in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities for adolescent mental health
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an inpatient or intensive outpatient adolescent psychiatry program
- Training in crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment
- Experience with trauma-informed care approaches
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
