Behavioral Health Professional, MST

About the role

Lead a team of MST Therapists in the Plano, TX area. The MST Supervisor carries clinical and administrative supervisory responsibilities for 1-2 MST teams of 2-4 therapists.

• Conduct weekly group supervision and training to ensure adherence to MST principles and the MST analytic process, and to ensure clinician competency in implementation of interventions.
• Provide individual supervision as needed to target clinician competency needs and remove barriers to effective implementation of MST treatment.
• Ensure 24/7 availability of clinical and administrative support for individuals in MST treatment.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote and educate about MST.
• Generate and manage case referrals and clinician caseloads.
• Collaborate with MST Expert to ensure program implementation and continued development of clinical skills and research knowledge.
• Manage and report data on clinical outcomes and program practices.
• Deliver MST to a caseload of 1-2 families as required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related subject area.
• Full, unrestricted license as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT strongly preferred; provisional license considered with completed supervised hours and MST experience.
• Minimum 1 year serving as an MST Therapist.
• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation for community-based interventions.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Direct use of pragmatic (structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies.
• Therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques.
• Couples therapy using behaviorally based approaches.
• Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance.
• Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology (family, peer, school, neighborhood).
• Collaboration and partnership with community agencies.
• Previous work providing in-home or community-based therapy services.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to manage high-need/acute caseloads and adhere to crisis procedures.
• Skills in conceptualizing family dynamics and problem behaviors within ecological contexts.
• Active change-management treatment and practices.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to collaborate with large stakeholder systems and community agencies.
• Knowledge of community mental health system of care and CCBHC.
• Knowledge of family systems, social ecological theory, behavioral therapies, CBT, pragmatic family therapies, child development research, and social skills assessment/intervention.

$41.35 hourly
