Behavioral Health Peer Specialist - Memorial Outpatient Behavioral Health Center (Rebels Program) - FT - Days - MRH

Summary

Provides oversight and coordinates the group activities and events for Behavioral Health Services.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual peer mentoring and/or recovery coaching.
• Participates in outreach and aftercare recovery activities.
• Contributes to new member and renewal member campaigns.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• Other skills include time-management skills, knowledge of community resources and strong written communication skills.
• Required Work Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
• Must include lived experience of recovery from mental health or substance use disorders.
• Complete WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) training within 6 months of hire.
• Must obtain the Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) designation within 18 months of hire.
• Driver License (DRIVER LIC) - Department of Motor Vehicles
• Automobile Insurance (AUTO INS), if applicable

• BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
• BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association
• BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (within 6 months of hire)
• BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross
• Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) - Florida Certification Board
