Summary
Provides oversight and coordinates the group activities and events for Behavioral Health Services.
Responsibilities
- Provides individual peer mentoring and/or recovery coaching.
- Participates in outreach and aftercare recovery activities.
- Contributes to new member and renewal member campaigns.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
- Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- Other skills include time-management skills, knowledge of community resources and strong written communication skills.
- Required Work Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
- Must include lived experience of recovery from mental health or substance use disorders.
- Complete WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) training within 6 months of hire.
- Must obtain the Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) designation within 18 months of hire.
- Driver License (DRIVER LIC) - Department of Motor Vehicles
- Automobile Insurance (AUTO INS), if applicable

- BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association
- BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association
- BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (within 6 months of hire)
- BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross
- Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) - Florida Certification Board
