Behavioral Health Peer Specialist - FT - Days - CYS

About the Role

Provides oversight and coordinates the group activities and events for Behavioral Health Services.

Required: Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges, either personally or through supporting a family member or loved one.

Responsibilities

• Participates in outreach and aftercare recovery activities.
• Provides individual peer mentoring and/or recovery coaching.
• Contributes to new member and renewal member campaigns.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• 1 year of related experience
• Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
